HORSE SCHEDULE FOR 2ND AUGUST 2026

 RING 1. IN HAND

Starting at 9am

1) Youngstock

Open to horses/ponies of any breed, height, 3 years and under.

 2) Condition and Turnout

Open to all, judged on condition of horse/pony and Turnout of handler.

 3) In Hand Foreign Breeds

Open to foreign breeds of any height/type. Turnout can be traditional for

breed or English. Traditional headgear permitted

Qualifier for APHS SHOW

 4)In Hand Mountain and Moorland

Open to small and large breeds; the class may be split if entries warrant it.

 5) In Hand Veteran

Open to all horses and ponies 15 years old and over.

 6) In Hand Cob

Open to hogged / trimmed or traditional cobs

  7) In Hand Coloured

Open to all coloured horses and ponies, including Piebald, Skewbald, Duns, Buckskin, Palomino, Appaloosas, etc.

 8) In Hand Hunter

Open to Show Hunter and Working Hunter types

 9) Junior Handler

Open to handlers 16 years and under; class MAY be split if entries warrant, 10 and under and 11 to 16 yrs.

10) Prettiest Mare

Can be ridden, led, or In Hand

11) Handsome Gelding

Open to all geldings, can be ridden, led, or in hand

12) Judges Choice

Open to all, can be Ridden, led, or In Hand

 13 Fancy Dress

Open to all, Ridden, led, or in hand

Riding hats MUST be worn

 Ring one Championships Open to those placed 1st and 2nd in classes 1 to 13

Champion, Rosette and Sash £20

Reserve Champion Rosette and £10

RING 2 RIDDEN

Start 9 am

14) Lead Rein

Open to ponies 12.2 and under, Riders 10 years and under, from 1st January 2026

15) First Ridden

Open to ponies 13,2h and under, Riders 12 years and under, from 1st January 2026

 16) Ridden Hunter

Open to Show or Working Hunter Types

17) Ridden Cob

Open to show cobs, hogged and trimmed, and traditional cobs shown naturally

18 Ridden Coloured

Open to Skewbald, Piebald, Dun, Buckskin, Appaloosa etc.

19) Ridden Veteran

Open to ponies and horses aged 15 years and over.

20) Ridden Foreign Breeds

Open to Foreign breeds of any height/type; can be shown in traditional dress,

This is a qualifier for APHS show

21) Ridden Mountain and Moorland

Open to small and large breeds; the class may be split if entries warrant it.

 RING 2 Championships, Open to those placed 1st and 2nd in classes 14 to 21

Champion, Rosette and Sash £20

Reserve, Rosette and £10

All classes are £13 each PRE ENTRY

Entries taken on the day if space permits £15 per class.

First Aid £5 per rider.

PLEASE NOTE! Numbers will NOT be given at the show; you will need to have and wear a bridle number. THIS MUST BE CLEARLY DISPLAYED ON YOUR BRIDLE. We will have these available at the show to purchase, until stocks last.

By entering the CSEAS show, all competitors confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to abide by the rules of the show and the land.

The judges’ decision is final. Anyone wishing to lodge a complaint should come immediately to the Secretary and pay the £25 fee. This will be held whilst the matter is looked into by the appointed trustees of the committee.
