Cranleigh & South Eastern Agricultural Society aims to promote and improve good farming, the advancement of livestock and horse breeding and to educate the general public in promoting an awareness of the British agricultural industry generally. Since 1947 the Society has been staging the Cranleigh Show, celebrating the highly professional, innovative and sustainable approach of our farmers, showcasing their livestock and raising the profile of the important role they play in the UK.

It is considered important that the Society should support youngsters intending to follow a career in agriculture or horses and each year a small bursary is made available.

The Society aims to provide financial assistance to one successful applicant. Students must be from Surrey and West Sussex aged between 16 and 25 years, intending to attend or already attending a full-time recognised course.

The maximum value of the grant will be £500. The closing Date for applications is 31st August 2019 with the decision being notified to applicants as soon as possible after the interviews in early September 2019.
